Punctuality
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. This allows time for you to check in, relax and enjoy some refreshments prior to your treatment. It also provides ample time for you and your therapist to go over any changes in your client history. Please note that your scheduled time is your purchased time. If you arrive late, you are depriving yourself of that time provided by your therapist and it cannot be fulfilled due to scheduling.

Cell phones
In order for us to provide a quiet and tranquil setting and for the comfort of all our salon & spa guests, cell phones are prohibited. If you need to leave your cell phone on, please keep it in silent mode.

Clothing/Valuables
Most services are best experienced fully undressed. We provide a wrap for you to change into however if you wish to wear clothing for certain treatments, we suggest shorts for men and a bikini for women. Spa slippers are available for purchase but must be brought with you during every visit.
Although your treatment will be given in the privacy of your own suite, Beau Monde is not responsible for loss or damage to your valuables. All jewelry must be removed prior to your service.

Consultation
Please provide all the information necessary in an honest manner. In some cases, conditions and/or medications may affect our ability to perform a requested service. For your safety and that of your therapist, open communication is a necessity.

Gratuities
Prices for services do not include gratuities. Generally, the appropriate range is 15-20% of the price of the service. For exceptional service, feel free to provide a larger gratuity. If you were unhappy with your service, please let us know. Your satisfaction is our priority. Gratuity envelopes are available at the reception desk and may be paid in cash or check made out to cash.

Private Parties and Special Events
Please inquire about hosting your next special event. Customized packages are available to help make your day memorable.

SPA POLICIES

All treatments are by appointment only. Your appointment will be confirmed 24 hours prior. We request the same consideration and require our guests to give a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellation.

Although we will give notice prior to increase in pricing, service prices are subject to change. Please confirm prices when booking your appointment. Services may be denied at discretion of management.

Returns/exchanges: Beau Monde honors any returns or exchanges on product. Please retain your receipts. Please respect the peace and serenity of our spa and arrange child care when planning your visit. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the spa area.

Client confidentiality: all information requested to perform services are kept private and confidential. This information is used only for any modifications in service necessary where it is medically indicated. Gift certificates are available for purchase. Inquire with the front desk for gift ideas. Forms of payment accepted are cash, check, Visa, and MasterCard.

Weak or brittle fingernails can be a challenge to toughen up. The following tips can help you protect them, making your nails less likely to split or break.

• Keep your nails short, square shaped and slightly rounded on top. Trim brittle nails after a bath or a 15-minute hand soak in bath oil. Then apply a moisturizer.
• Moisturize your nails and cuticles several times a day and after your nails have been in water. Also, apply moisturizer at bedtime and cover your hands with cotton gloves.
• Apply a nail hardener, but avoid products containing toluene sulfonamide or formaldehyde. These chemicals can cause redness or irritate the skin.
• Apply nail polish. A thin coat of nail polish may help keep moisture in the nail. Remove and reapply the nail polish after a week.
• Don’t use nail polish remover more than once a week. When you do need a remover, avoid those that use acetone, which dries nails.
• Take a biotin supplement. Taking 2.5 milligrams of biotin daily may increase the thickness of nails.

Dietary changes that supposedly strengthen nails don’t work. Unless you’re malnourished — not getting proper nutrition through your diet — taking daily multivitamins won’t strengthen your nails either. Taking gelatin supplements or soaking your nails in gelatin also won’t help.

It’s easy to neglect your nails. But a little basic nail care can go a long way to keeping your nails in healthy condition.

We polled professionals on their personal tips for how to have amazingly sexy eyes, We specifically asked them this question – How can I have sexy eyes?
Their answers are surprising and I’ve listed them all below!

#1 – Never Forget the three E’s!!

Eyebrows, Eyelashes and EyelinerEyebrows: Should never be neglected; they completely pull together and frame the face for a polished, sculpted look. Fill in sparse or misshapen brows with a great pencil or marker.

Eyeliner: Opt for a blue hued eye liner (try navy or cobalt) which will make whites of the eyes appear whiter and larger, overall.

Eyelashes: Play up lashes with carbon black mascara or try falsies. Just make sure that you get two sets, one to practice, and one for your night out!

Apply a bone color eyeliner along the wet line to open up the eye and give you an instant – wide awake look. Then, add a hint of shimmer in the inner corner of the eye to make eyes sparkle.

#2 – How to Have Sexy Eyes

When you want to go sexy, go smoky! I love a smoky eye – it looks fantastic on everyone! It’s important to remember that a smoky eye doesn’t have to be black. I like to do a smoky eye in aubergine, navy, dark forest greens and slate grays. This is an ideal look for a big night out or a sexy night in.

Metallic can also be super sexy! I like to experiment with steels and coppers as well as metallic blacks, navys, slates, and purples. To get a smoldering look apply a dark liner along the lash lines and use the metallic shade on the lid and a shimmering highlight around the brow bone. Complete the look with curled lashes and a few coats of black maraca. Definitely rock this look for a night out!

#3 – Eye Makeup Tips – Add A Splash of Color!

1. Add a Splash of Color - As an older woman, one of our main desires if for others to notice the beauty of our eyes, not our newly formed wrinkles. Adding a small splash of bright color (either an unexpected light purple eyeliner or an emerald green mascara) will draw the eye where we want others to look. And the color, if chosen correctly, will enhance the color of the eyes, as well. Just be sure to keep it to one element. Less is more.
2. Trade Sparkle For Shimmer – You’ll hear that mature women shouldn’t wear sparkle around the eyes. It draws attention to wrinkles. This is true, but shimmer is a whole different story. Sparkles are larger flakes of gaudy shine often created by fine pieces of glass (its true!), while shimmer has a satiny sheen that looks more sophisticated. Be sure to keep shimmer just under the brow bone where it will help create a visual “lift” to the eyes.

Purifying Back Facial – 50 minutes
A treatment designed to clear excess oil and/or dead skin cell build up restoring a clear and clean sensation to your back. A deep cleansing is coupled with your choice of exfoliation: mineral salts or an olive & fig seed scrub. Extractions clear any debris and a hydro-therapy pack or enzymatic sea mud masque will be applied to infuse therapeutic ingredients.

We use the highest quality wax in our treatments, which is very gentle on all skin types. Four to six week outgrowth is recommended for a smooth long-lasting treatment.  If you are using Retin-A, Retinoic or Alpha Hydroxy Acids, you must stop usage 5 days prior to and 5 days after your treatment. Also, avoid UV exposure 24 hours before and after your treatment. All other waxing service pricing not listed below is based on consultation. Waxing as a form of hair removal can be very effective if done in a series of 6-10 treatments scheduled in 4-6 week intervals. Ask your therapist for details.
